Roller coaster building

Guess what the kids did this weekend while they were stuck inside because it was snowing and I had the 4x4? You gotta love the power of a big building project to keep kid's interest. This one is the K'NEX Dragon's Drop Roller Coaster. It has a motor that takes the cars up to the top, then they drop down.

CC is great at focusing for a long time on a project, and LB is terrific at getting little pieces together. When they first started building, BB helped them learn to interpret the instructions. Now they can do it own their own with some supervision by daddy to help get the pieces interconnected and find lost pieces.

Hopefully they will grow up to be better at building and visualizing mechanical things than I am.

I am all ready for a terrific week, but I don't know if it will be nearly as educational as the weekend was.
