WR 6 2010 - When a work-at-home homeschool mom gets busy

I'm glad that I keep a scribble list of what we've done during the week.  If not for that list, I'd have to tell you that we were more unschoolish today than anything else and that I don't remember the rest of the week.

Today, I had to publish another Very Important Document which means that I saw the sunrise.  It was beautiful. This is the view from my office when I started work today.  And while I'm at it, here is my new desk that I built last weekend and where I spent most of my day.
I wear the hat when I'm on a conference call so the girls know that whatever it is must wait until I'm done.  CC is going to help me rearrange my bookshelves - she's a terrific oraganizer.

Once my document went out to the team for review and revisions, I took the girls for a walk, run, bike ride.  We found a new bear trail and fresh bear droppings.  Somewhere in the back of my head when I see a bear trail then follow it, I start to feel that maybe its not such a good idea, then I continue on.  I love exploring.

Now for the notes from my week in abbreviated format.
Aeneid, Rosetta Stone Japanese, cows, phonics, Dr. Suess, Explode the Code, Nature walk, ballet.

Fencing, pottery, testing phone, Aeneid, read all 5 new Asterix the Gauls that I aquired for her, Journal, math, Beware Princess Elizabeth, Nature Walk, Rosetta Stone French.

I'd explain what they mean, but like I said, I really don't remember the week prior to working on my Very Important Document.  I think I need a pan of brownies.

Very Important Documents do take up a lot of brain space!

I think your cryptic notes are perfect, I might try that next week.

When I was about 10 I read a book about a Grizzly attack in Yellowstone. Been petrified of bears ever since.

Shudder, shudder. . . .

A pan of brownies will solve all of life's problems! Love those cubbies/desk too! I may have to build something similar. have a good weekend.

Go for the brownies and I think I understood the abbreviations.

Brownies! Yummy! I love the idea of putting on a hat when you are on a conference call. What an excellent idea. I may have to dig out my red and white Dr. Seuss hat. LOL.

Love the desk and the signal hat. Brownies are a much better idea than following a new bear trail.

The picture of the kids climbing the hill and the bear tracks/droppings really make me think of Blueberries for Sal. :) I am impressed--I don't know if I could ever summarize anything in just a few words like that. Brevity is not my strong suit!
